Florida SMACNA, Inc. is a trade association made up of qualified sheet metal and air conditioning contracting firms dedicated to improving the quality of the construction business in Florida.  The Association is part of a nationwide network of chapters that represent the leading voice in the industry, the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) located in Chantilly, Virginia.

Members of Florida SMACNA, Inc. do a variety of work in several market sectors:

SMACNA Contractors are experts and are recognized as the most skilled and highly trained contractors in the industry.  Click here to find a contractor.  Member firms employ union sheet metal workers from three local unions of the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association, Local #32, Local #15 and Local #435.

The employees of Florida SMACNA Contractors are trained through a state approved apprenticeship program delivered under the guidance of three local Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committees.  Our training sets Florida SMACNA contractors apart from the rest of the industry.

The national Association, SMACNA, produces technical manuals and standards for the industry.  SMACNA contractors have the opportunity to become a contributor to the development and revision of these industry standards.  SMACNA's uniform fabrication and installation standards are accepted, adopted and specified by the design community.

Among the services Florida SMACNA, Inc. provides for its member firms are education and training opportunities, technical services, governmental affairs, labor relations, liaison with architects, engineers, and general contractors, and safety information.
